New Delhi [India], October 13 (ANI): Reponding to the Oppostion questioning the Maharashtra state governmen on the killing of Baba Siddique, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that playing politics on such thing meant that the person had non-serious political approach towards sensitive issues.
Speaking to ANI, Naqvi said “If you do such politics it means you have a serious non-political approach towards sensitive issues. The state government will catch the culprits behind the crime. Nobody needs to play politics on it, unfortunately, some people play politics on everything. The state government is conducting a probe on this and nobody needs to worry on it.”
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday said that defaming such situations and spreading fear for the sake of political benefits was unfortunate.

Speaking to ANI, Chugh said “Defaming such situations and spreading fear for the sake of political benefits is unfortunate The incident is extremely condemnable. The probe is underway and the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and the whole administration is strictly monitoring this. The two accused were caught overnight in the crime committed. The culprits will definitely not be spared. I appeal please do not do politics on this.”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also expressed his shock and sadness over the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Department portfolio, said that the police will brief the media after getting the custody of the accused from the court.
“This is a sad and serious incident. I had a close friendship with Baba Siddique. We are all shocked by this kind of incident. Two accused in this case have been arrested. The investigation is going on. After getting the custody of the accused today, the police will conduct a briefing. The theories that are coming are not official. Some angles are being noticed and an investigation is underway,” Fadnavis told reporters.
Meanwhile, in a latest development in the case of the killing of Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Crime Branch said that a total of six round of bullets were fired at Siddique, out of which three hit him.
The crime branch also mentioned that the third accused has been identified and will be arrested soon.
Earlier, according to the doctors at the hospital, Baba Siddique sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest before being brought to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for emergency treatment.(ANI)
